Filling
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Melt butter in a pot.
- Add vegetables, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, flour, salt and pepper.
- Stir until mixed and flour has coated everything.
- Add in chicken broth and milk.
- Stir and warm until liquid thickens.
- Add chicken or turkey and allow to simmer until meat is warmed through.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
Quick Biscuits
- Mix together flour, garlic powder, sugar and salt.
- Add milk and melted butter, stir until combined.
- Fold in cheddar cheese.
- Pour chicken pot pie filling into a baking pan.
- Drop the biscuit mixture by the tablespoon over the chicken pot pie filling leaving about one inch between biscuits.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes or until biscuits are lightly brown on top.
- Remove from the oven and let the dish sit for 15 minutes before enjoying.
