Ingredients
  

  • 3 eggs
  • 4 T of melted butter
  • 1 cup of light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 pastry shell - unbaked

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a mixing bowl, slightly beat eggs.
  3. Then add butter, corn syrup, vanilla extract, sugar and salt.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Stir in pecan halves and then pour into an unbaked pastry shell.
  6. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until a knife inserted into the filling comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool for at least 2 hours on a cooling rack and refrigerate any leftovers.
