Drain the juice from the cherries and place cherries onto paper towels. Blot them dry and let them sit until ready to use.

In a mixing bowl, combine corn syrup and softened butter. Combine until smooth.

Add in sifted powdered sugar and combine until smooth - no lumps.

Flatten about a tablespoon of mixture in the palm of your hand making it as thin as you like. Place the cherry in the center and then wrap the mixture around the cherry to form a ball. Continue this process until all cherries are wrapped.

Place balls in the refrigerator for 1 hour, allowing them to harden.

Place a piece of wax paper on your working surface to hold the balls once dipped in chocolate.

About 5 minutes before pulling balls out of the refrigerator, melt your dipping chocolate.

Once chocolate is melted, pull the hardened balls out of the fridge and begin dipping. Drop the ball into the melted chocolate. Once the ball is coated with chocolate, using a fork, scoop it out of the chocolate and place onto a sheet of wax paper.

Allow the balls to sit until the chocolate is dry. Enjoy!
