Pecan Tassies

Ingredients
  

Pastry
  • 3 oz of softened cream cheese
  • ½ cup of softened butter
  • 1 cup flour
Filling
  • 1 egg
  • 1 T soft butter
  • Dash of Salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • cup broken pecans
  • ¾ cup brown sugar

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Blend cream cheese and butter until smooth. Stir in flour and then chill for 1 hour. Shape into 1 inch balls and it should create about 2 dozen. Place balls in ungreased mini muffin pans. Gently press dough against bottoms and sides of pan.
    For the filling: Blend together egg, sugar, butter, vanilla and salt until smooth. Divide ½ of the pecans among pastry cups. Add filling to pastry cups and top with remaining pecans.Cook at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool and remove from pan.
